Introduction
Here's the thing: if you want to grow on Instagram, you've got to start posting Reels. But what if you don't want to show your face or you're team of one? Don't stress; I'm Euan from Later, and I'm going to share a few Reels ideas that are quick and most importantly, super easy to replicate.
So stick around, because by the end of this video, I know you'll be inspired to create a ton of Reels, regardless of your niche.
Reel Idea One: Time Static Photos to a Beat.
What do aesthetic home tours, weekend recaps, and product close-ups all have in common? Static imagery.
That's right. Photo montages timed to a catchy beat are officially taking over Instagram. And the best part? They're super easy to create, especially now that Instagram has rolled out Reels Templates, which are timestamp templates that you can easily drop your content into. You can use this technique to showcase behind-the-scenes content or tease images of an upcoming launch. The opportunities are endless.
Reel Idea Two: Make Memes.
Now let's talk memes. They're crazy popular on Instagram, so why not translate that hype into a Reel? It's easier to do than you might think.
To optimize your meme for Reels, simply overlay a video, GIF or image meme onto a 9x16 background using your favorite design app like Canva. Just take a look at how @workinsocialtheysaid transformed this meme of Lady Gaga into a Reel with a simple white background and black text above the video clip.
You can even take things up a notch by adding trending audio or using the Text-to-Speech feature to add some commentary. And, if you're in need of a little meme inspo, we've got you covered with a blog on how to create viral memes linked in the description below.
Reel Idea Four: Bring Tweets to Life.
We're big fans of repurposing content. No, seriously, we're obsessed. Creating a single piece of content is hard work, so it only makes sense to give it as many opportunities to be seen as possible, which brings us to our next Reel idea: repurposing tweets.
You've probably seen tweets on static Instagram feed posts before, but spoiler alert, you can now use them on Reels. Simply screenshot your tweets and layer them over a 9x16 background. From there, you can add an audio track and voila, you got yourself a Reel. And it's not just tweets; you can also animate text or add quotes over a 9x16 background as well.
So there you have it: four Instagram Reel ideas that don't require a costly set or team. And you don't even have to change out of your sweatpants or your shorts.
