Made You Look

Ep. 2: Celebrity Sells, Community Scales

Made You Look is our monthly live conversation series built for marketers who want more than surface-level trend reports. Each session, we invite experts to break down recent influencer campaigns and unpack what made them work—from the insight behind the idea to the creators and the impact.

May 20, 2026 4pm-4:45pm UTC

What you'll learn

A celebrity founder can ignite a brand overnight, but turning that initial "spark" into a lasting cultural mainstay requires a sophisticated influencer marketing engine.

In the second episode of Made You Look, we’re joined by Matt Anger (Digital Director at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Teremana Tequila) and Robyn Nissim (award-winning strategist who led influencer for Anastasia Beverly Hills, Ulta, Alo Yoga and Nissan) to discuss how the world’s most visible brands use creators to bridge the gap between a founder’s fanbase and a loyal, lasting community.

We’re diving into the mechanics of building a brand that starts with a founder's visibility and grows beyond their following into something the community owns.

In this session, we’ll cover:

  • The validation gap: Stop talking at your audience and start building a community that talks to each other.

  • The believability bar: How to vet creators for deep credibility instead of just buying a temporary shoutout.

  • Decentralizing brand voice: Why the most powerful marketing happens when you finally stop holding the microphone.

  • Scaling authenticity: How to keep creator partnerships feeling as organic as the founder’s own feed.

Think of it as a deep dive into turning visibility into lasting cultural impact. Whether you’re working with a high-profile figurehead or building your own brand playbook, you’ll leave with a blueprint for community-driven equity.

Robyn Nissim

Founder and CEO - Social Proof Agency

Before "social media marketer" was a job title, Robyn Nissim was doing the job. While the industry was still betting on TV spots and print campaigns, Robyn walked into a room full of CMOs and told them the truth: the millennial audience had moved to their phones, and the old playbook had expired. Then she proved it, opening brand channels for Michelin and winning a Webby Award on Nissan.

She built Ulta Beauty's first-ever influencer marketing program from zero to over $1M, took Anastasia Beverly Hills to its peak with 24 million Instagram followers, and helped shift Alo Yoga's market presence — boosting organic social to 5% of total business revenue in under a year.

Today, through Social Proof, Robyn helps brands, businesses, and individuals transform social and influencer marketing into measurable, revenue-generating channels. Her current obsession is bringing the B2C playbook to the B2B world as she's aware that most B2B companies are sitting on an untapped goldmine — they just don't know how to crack it!
